The MR Physics group is part of the vibrant Radiology and Nuclear Medicine department, equipped with 10 state-of-the-art MR scanners. This collaborative environment fosters innovation, teamwork, and multidisciplinary research, offering a unique blend of technical expertise and clinical application. Qualifications and skills

The postdoc we are looking for brings: 

  • PhD in Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • MR Expertise: Strong knowledge of MR physics, preferable including pulse sequence development, quantitative imaging, or image reconstruction techniques.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with MR scanner platforms and programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, or C++.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team of physicists, engineers, and clinicians.
  • Innovation: Creative mindset with a passion for developing and implementing novel solutions in MR technology.
  • Independence: Demonstrated ability to plan and execute research projects autonomously while contributing to the team's goals.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with parallel imaging, compressed sensing, or machine learning applications in MR.
  • MR Physics simulation and/or pulse sequence programming.
  • Experience in clinical translation or working in a healthcare research setting.

Terms of employment

  • You will receive a temporary position for 1 year.
  • The gross monthly salary amounts a minimum of € 3.493,- and a maximum of € 5.504,- (scale 10) based on a full-time working week of 36 hours.
  • Excellent fringe benefits, such as a 13th month that is already paid out in November and a individual travel expense package.
  • An International Office which aids you in preparing for you arrival and stay.
  • Pension insurance with ABP. We take care of approximately 2/3 of the monthly contribution.
  • Special benefits, such as a incompany physiotherapist and bicycle repairer. And there is also a gym where you can work on your fitness after work.
